Drugstore Products Review | The Basics

I picked these items up all together, in one huge haul, but have been posting little bits here and there so you’ve probably seen a lot of my pictures featuring a product. These three are the final three I will be reviewing from Boots for now.
I bought a lip balm, hair tie and face cleansing pads, so pretty basic stuff but read on if you’re interested;

Blistex Happy Lips in Mango – Retails for £2.50 which is what I paid but currently it is on offer, so head over if you’re interested! This doesn’t smell like mangoes specifically, but it does have a sweet taste to it…yes I’ve accidentally eaten some…

This retails for £3.75 – I don’t really like this unfortunately, I will try out other brands as I know for preventing kinks overnight, this bobble really helps as it’s plastic, but it stretched out after a few uses and didn’t really hold my hair very securely

This retails for £5 and is a dupe for The Body Shop, which is £11 and you only get 40 sheets. However, if you think they are better quality then by all means you should get those, but these work well. They have some kind of beads which exfoliate, yet don’t leave a greasy layer on your skin or any residue, and they smell so fresh. I haven’t had any irritation and I even pat them over my eyes and it seems to get rid of some makeup!

Will you be trying any out?

Sleek Solstice Highlight Palette

How beautiful is this Sleek Makeup palette?
I picked it up yesterday (and already instagrammed it: @alexa.wyrwicz) as Superdrug has 3 for 2 on a lot of products. If you want to see the rest of my goodies I picked up, let me know!
I love how high end so many drugstore products are packaged to look, this is literally a sleek palette. The rosey gold shade is so pretty and the shades themselves work so well with each other.

There are four shades; one cream and three powders. They even tell you where to apply them, although you can experiment with all the shades which I will be doing.

This retails for £6.99

Detox Thermal Mask Review + Demo!

Hey girls,

Today is a little late post, but better late than never right?! Anyway, this is a first impressions post on this Sanctuary face mask. I’ve been using it for the past week and here is a photo of the first time. I bought this on 3 for 2 so the pricing could have been around £10.

I will be featuring this on my youtube channel so stay tuned for that! I just want to add also that it draws out impurities which one of my followers notified me about.

As crazy as I look, it is a great mask. It doesn’t dry instantly but it is a quick pick me up kind of mask.

Have you tried it?

Beauty Haul!

Hey girls,

Today’s post is a beauty haul, I know I tried writing one for each of the three categories (check the tabs) but it isn’t realistic, and sometimes I just have a lot of products to review!
Anway, here are three skincare/beauty products I purchased a few weeks back.

First is this Clean & Clear toner, which is for teenage acne-prone skin, so if you have sensitive skin maybe give this a miss. It’s is very strong and probably has a high alcohol/salicylic acid in the bottle. It is also oil free so you can tell it’s a pretty hardcore product. Nonetheless, it makes your skin look so even and tones down breakouts.

This is a first for me, but I picked up a Crest 3D White Toothpaste which will hopefully give me bright white teeth (not quite Simon Cowell though..) I’ve heard good things about this range.

Last but not least you will undoubtedly have come across this if you watch american beauty videos, which is where I got the recommendation! This is essentially a medium-full coverage foundation. I have been using this Covergirl product in all my latest FOTD posts and on top of being a great alternative to £3455 high end ones, this foundation actually works well.

Macbook Pro Review

Hey girls (and possibly guys)

Today is somewhat of a haul and review, as you may have seen there is no technology tab on my blog precisely because I am no expert and rarely splurge on new items. However, with the new school term starting my laptop conveniently decided it was time for a break, so voila, I resorted to buying a new one which was much less hassle. Although my bank account took a hard hit, I did have a little discount.

I picked the Macbook Pro 13inch, a standard ‘notebook’ or laptop pretty much, it has everything you need all wrapped into one snazzy Apple package and if you have an iphone or ipad Im sure the layout and features are identical!

It powers up very quickly and is really efficient, you can of course customize a lot so it is down to preference. Make sure to purchase anti-virus software and whatever other features like Word that you need.

I would say it is worth the money, and if you’re always on it for schoolwork or blogging, it is a great investment. Also, for making videos and editing it’s one of the best ‘packages’ you could get. I will update you guys at some point, but for now I’m so in love with it, it’s just so sleek and tiny.

What do you guys think of macbooks?

xoxo
