Kat Von D Lock It Foundation Review
This retails for £27 which is mid range in my opinion, and totally worth the money if it's high quality. I've spent £5 on foundation and I've spent £40 but I find that the consistency and coverage are the most important factors.
Is anyone else obsessed with the packaging?! I love the gothic almost art deco design of her products, perfect for instagram shots. This is a standard 30ml bottle, so it should last for about a year, possibly less.
This also has a very handy pump, so two pumps should give you full coverage. This is also described as transfer proof, and matte. I have to agree in both cases, once I've set it with powder and setting spray, it doesnt budge. I haven't had any transferring yet except when blotting my face later in the day. You want to use a good primer though to ensure it doesnt settle into wrinkles or dry patches.
This is a swatch of half a pump, you can already tell the coverage is full, and this is the 'Light 44 Cool' shade. It is a little bit pink toned for my skin, but it seamlessly blends over the jawline, and you can't tell the difference between my face and neck!
Finally, here is a shot of how it looks once I have a full face of makeup done, powder and all. It looks very natural and not at all cakey, which is down to the creamy texture of the product. I have no bad things to say, and hopefully the more I use it, the more impressed I'll be. Another plus is of course the no animal testing on her products, so we can splurge without any guilt!
Let me know if you'll be trying this out.
