Top 3 Drugstore Nail Polishes for Autumn
Choosing just three polishes is a struggle in itself, as I sit opposite a drawer filled with polishes of all colours of the rainbow.. I've narrowed it down to my three most worn shades, and a good range of prices and textures.
The three brands are Barry M, Nails Inc and Rimmel - surely a trio we have all tried and love. There honestly is no need to shell out £25 for a polish unless you are buying it specifically for the name. I've found cheaper shades often last as long, and application is the key to longevity.
I'm half way through this Its the Cherry On Top shade, a deep almost burgundy red. This is only £2.99 so its a real bargain, and worth picking up if you switch up your colour weekly like me. As a pedicure this obviously lasts longer, and the brush gives a very precise application. I wouldn't say this is my favourite out of the collection though.
This is my current manicure shade, and I love the vibrant colour although it did take three coats to become opaque.
I had this colour on last week, it definitely lasted longer and has a thicker consistency than the Rimmel. This is Racing Green, a beautiful shimmering dark green. There are small glitter flecks which add an iridescence to the nails especially in the sunlight. So gorgeous! This also lasted me about four days with no chipping, and at £2.99 this is such a bargain.
The Nails Inc shade is a beautiful dark purple, which can be built up to a dark opaque shade or left a lighter violet shade. I personally love the gel look of each polish from this brand so I layer them up.
Have you tried any of these?
