Face of the Day: Glowing Neutrals
I have a long overdue FOTD post, which are some of my most popular. This is primarily a drugstore look, and definitely easy to recreate.
I try to do cruelty-free makeup looks nowadays and am proud to say I am a lot more conscious of what I buy. However, some are old favourite brands which I cannot bear to throw out, so I feel like I should still review and mention them!
First up is an overview of all the products - I'll list them for you:
- Makeup Revolution Ultra Eyeshadows Palette
- Rimmel Match Perfection Powder
- Benefit Roller Lash
- L'oreal Lumi Magique
- Kylie Candy K Liner
- Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot
- ABH Dip Brow Pomade in Taupe
- Seventeen Shimmer Brick
As you can see, these products give a mix of matte and glow which I love. I have combination skin so I have to set and prime every time. Using highlighting powders is ideal for me and doesn't cake up towards the end of the day as a cream highlighter would.
The four tone shimmer brick is great for creating various looks as they can work as bronzer, inner corner highlight and brow bone highlight. Or you can swirl them all on a large brush for a really shimmering cheekbone highlight! The lips came out quite red as I applied a lip balm over the top but the liner really works at plumping the lips and drying quickly.
The rest of the products I've mentioned a lot in the past, so I won't write an essay about them, but I don't have a bad word to say about any of them. They do work for oily skin and with the right primer, are perfect for day and night looks.
Let me know your thoughts!
