New York State of Mind
The first outfit from New York is this look I wore for a day of sightseeing and shopping. We headed over to the World Trade Centre, and the memorial sites at Ground Zero. I didn't include those pictures but it was a very moving sight and I would recommend visiting when in NYC.
I chose a really comfortable look, and quite simple at that. The colours are all quite dark and neutral and when packing I tried to be as plain as possible so I could mix and match.
The bodysuit is from Pretty Little Thing and has a thong bottom, so it is not full briefs but this was specifically for wearing with this kind of outfit. If you don't like this style, lots of other boutiques have similar styles but you may get vpl!
The sandals are old favourites from Steve Madden which I've had since living in Florida years ago. They go with anything but still look elegant. Now onto the best part of the look, the trousers:
This photo was taken in Kate Spade, which oh my, I forgot how aesthetically pleasing this store was... They are from Marks and Spencer and I have officially become obsessed with high waisted palazzo pants. The wide leg gives a 70s vibe but the tie at the waist and subtle stripes are so modern. You can dress it up or down depending on your top and shoes.
Later that day we went to Times Square for one of our many trips there. It is quite breathtaking and unlike any other city I've seen except perhaps Tokyo or Hong Kong. I added a little heart design choker necklace that I've worn this summer in other posts, and it pulled the whole look together as it was my only accessory. I love gold jewellery and this River Island piece could even go with silver outfits!
One last bathroom selfie to finish the post, the lighting was great and before heading out I added cat eye sunglasses from Ali Express in case we were outdoors for a long period.
Happy beginning of autumn!
