3 Easy Ways To Improve Your Morning Routine

I've been on a motivated kick recently so I wanted to write an advice post again, I hope you guys enjoy these as I have picked up so many bits of wisdom this year that could probably help a lot of you guys! 

Today is a simple approach to better your day, starting first thing in the morning. With SAD kicking in for some, autumn would be a great time to improve your daily routine and act more efficiently rather than spontaneously. Read on for my tips:

1. Be Grateful

I love writing in notebooks, and jotting down random thoughts, ideas and positive quotes. These I picked up at TK Maxx earlier this year and I love them. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, but they inspire me to write in them daily! Write out at least 3 reasons you're grateful for today or why yesterday went well - you'll be surprised what an energy boost this is for the rest of the day.

2. Pamper Yourself

A little pamper session never hurt nobody....or something like that. I love lighting candles for each season, as Im leaving for a holiday soon this one was perfect. Even just spritzing some perfume on can brighten your day. It will help you feel more put together, and a little bit special. Taking care of yourself is the best way to feel better and confident, thus you're less likely to mooch around your room feeling tired.

3. Write a Plan

This links into the two points, if you know what you're doing that day and why you can start ASAP. I don't always do this admittedly, but I have a lot of inspiration and always find a task to motivate me to start. If you know what your morning looks like, you can decide to take the afternoon off or realise a task isn't as vital as you thought, and relax a little!
