Dress Lily Haul

I was very kindly sent some gorgeous pieces, which I had the chance to pick out myself, from dresslily.com. All these pieces retail for under $50 together so you can totally splurge this summer without breaking the bank.

The first item is this simple black top. As you can see, it is quite sheer but for summer you can get away with a bralet underneath or as I plan to do, a bikini top on holiday.

I'm not sure what other colours this comes in, but it's a very light material and I love the cut out on the back (scroll down). This makes it ideal for hot weather -
a) you don't see any stains
b) you can pair it with anything, and it suits all weather conditions

It's very form fitting - I picked mine up in a size small (8) which I typically would buy, and it fits well but if you want a looser fit then go a size up.  Below you can see my sports bra, but originally with a strappy thin bra, you can absolutely wear this.

Next is something that instantly reminded me of extended royalty or Blair Waldorf which really are one and the same thing..
This diamante headband may look ultra fancy, but it's quite flimsy and delicate. The cluster of gems is so pretty and subtle that I would wear this on a day to day basis, but it does look very impressive. This retails for about $4 so you can see how its perfect for experimenting with accessories! I don't have any like this one, so I wanted to give it a go and as it's smaller, it's quite versatile and would look beautiful with an updo.

Next two items are this gorgeous playsuit and sunhat. These are a little bit more expensive, but still affordable. Again, the material is not thick so it's good for hot climates. I plan to bring this with me to Croatia in September, and I can already picture myself strolling through Dubrovnik streets, (trying my hardest to take the perfect insta pic). The floral detailing is beautiful and I love the vibrant shades on a white background.

The hat is so dramatic, unlike any I have worn in the past, and so reminiscent of the mid 20th century style that so many European starlets wore. I can't wait to take pictures with this on the beach.... Plus it provides shade from the sun.

Final item is again one I had vacations in mind when I chose it - a body chain. If not done properly, this can look quite tacky in my opinion but I plan on wearing a block colour bikini with this, and maybe with a crop top so it just peaks out across the midriff. It is a delicate gold chain with a jade bead in the centre. It's one of the more daring choices, but I've wanted to try one for the longest time!

Will you guys pick up any of these pieces?
