OOTD | Museum Wandering
A few days ago I visited the fabulous Undressed exhibit at the Victoria & Albert Museum in South Kensington. I went with my mum, as she was also fascinated by the history and influence of British lingerie brands. I don't usually venture out so far into Central London, so of course I had to get all dressed up!
I wanted something structure and elegant, to suit the venue. Disregarding the art and educational matter, the V&A is a great place for outfit shots with lots of beautiful backgrounds for fellow bloggers.
The necklace is from Cush, an old shop that opened in my town years ago, and I love how dainty it is, but up close you can tell how fun and detailed it really is.
I didn't take my jacket off as it was raining, but I went for a bodysuit by Pretty Little Thing. This went well with the rest of my navy and mauve colours without being OTT. It does give you some vpl though, so be wary...
This jacket is a long love of mine, it is by Topshop and I had once seen Kim Kardashian wearing it, and at the time I thought that was as good a reason to buy it as the waterfall detailing. The trousers are high waisted but still work appropriate, by Monsoon. I did pick them up on sale last year though
This bag cinches the whole look together in my opinion. It is a dusty pink tote by Michael Kors. I am not sure which model it is, as I received this bag a while ago, but it is well structured and goes with any dark outfit.
Last but not least, these shoes are by Barratts, and I received these as a past birthday gift. The detailing is quite beautiful, reminiscent of a floral bouqet, and they make any outfit look a tad bit snazzier.
