Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Acne Wash Review

Tuesday, January 21, 2014 Alexa W 16 Comments

Hey guys,

Today I'm reviewing the classic Neutrogena foaming face wash, which is from the Pink Grapefruit range. As you may have noticed it has an Allure magazine sticker as it won the Reader's Choice Award in 2009. I remember using this years ago when I was in the midst of my teenage skin phase, as well as the accompanying scrub which smelt lovely but may have been a bit harsh for my sensitive skin.

In truth, I picked this up as I needed a new face wash and this was one of the only foaming ones in the display. As you can see, it is oil-free and contains salicylic acid so is great for teenage or problem skin.

What They say

The wash will clear blackheads, blemishes and remove oil and dirt so you are left with clean and clear skin.

What It Does

I think this is a great option, as I said, for younger skin and if you have oily skin. It will dry your skin though, as it is a pretty harsh cleanser meant for problematic skin. You can also use it to maintain clear skin which is what Im doing. It has a pretty strong smell, but it's pleasant as it differs from the typical 'chemically/cleansing' scent.
My skin is definitely better than it was a year ago, and my skin feels fresh and clean after using this, so it probably does in fact clear pores and clean the day off. I like to use this mostly in the shower or when I cant be bothered to use cotton pads.

Have you tried this?

xoxo

  1. I'm never quite sure on Neutrogena products, although this one does sound lovely - I can sometimes find them a bit irritating on the skin xxx

  2. I use to use this a few years back, and I loved it. I had to switch to a foaming cleaners, which is why I stopped, but this stuff smells really nice! I also found it to be pretty gentile for a cleanser with such a strong scent.
