Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine | Blueberry NOTD
I'm sure by now you've guessed by my every-other-post that I love changing up my nail color, usually twice a week. Last week I tried out for the second time this Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine polish in 'Blueberry'. I was really intrigued by this concept as it reminded me of a gel manicure which is supposed to last for ages.
Blueberry (1 of 18 colors) and Rimmel 5-in-1 base & top coat
The effect was pretty good, although much like a thick quality polish, I didn't see much difference to a normal polish. These are a tad pricier I believe than their normal colors. The shade choice is pretty great and would suit all tastes, and maybe layering the colors would work well too!
When I wore this on holiday it chipped on the second day, just a little, and when I went swimming afterwards I basically had to peel them all off.
Other than that, day to day the gelly would work well, as you can see, the bottom picture was taken 2 days later and almost no imperfections. Perhaps the consistency works in the polish's advantage as it was easier to apply and layer and a lot neater than a runny polish, plus it had amazing shine!
Have you tried these out?
