How To Tan & DIY Summer Face Mask

Laying out in the sun, I'll admit, is a truly relaxing past-time. We all do it during the summer (except for Dita Von Teese) but it can get pretty dangerous.
Wearing some sort of SPF on your body is important but wearing SPF on your face is vital. You can develop age spots, and when sunburnt you are 3x more likely to develop cancerous cells in your body!
How can I get a glowing tan safely?
I wear Piz Buin SPF 30 when out in the sun all day, and trust me SPF won't stop you getting a tan! As the UK is experiencing some sort of Middle East-ish heat wave I've been sitting out in my garden reading a book (or possibly playing Candy Crush...) but making sure I do this in 20min intervals. I haven't yet burnt and have developed a bronze tan!

I was recently contacted by 'Skana Spa' from the Turning Stone Resort. They kindly sent over a DIY face mask, to get your skin fresh & ready for whatever the sun throws at you! (rays)

DIY Face Mask Recipe:
  1. 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed tomato juice with pulp
  2. 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lime juice
  3. 1 cup of mashed avocado
  4. Mix everything together to create a thick cream, if it's too runny add a teaspoon of honey or cornstarch
  5. Wash your face with warm water, and apply the mask.
  6. Let this sit for 35-40mins so it can really absorb into your skin, then rinse with cold water
  7. Enjoy your soft, glowing skin!
All these ingredients work wonders for your skin, I would recommend this mask once every week if you'll be out in the sun all day or every other week.

Let me know if you try it out!
